If you have any data that is associated in some way with spatial coordinates, Basix:Platform® can now present this data on GoogleEarth and Microsoft Virtual Earth maps. For example, where an asset to be maintained is linked to a location with co-ordinates, any work tasks associated with that asset can be shown on a map. Mapping can be applied to any object -- not just assets, and not just data in Basix™ -- adding a whole new range of business functionality for your non-spatial legacy data.
In situations where data is interconnected in radial, ring or mesh networks, Basix:Platform® can display relationships graphically as well as spatially. A back-end service supports recursive analysis of highly interconnected networks, tracing and reporting. Its pluggable architecture allows components to be added to perform virtually any type of processing, analysis or reporting of your power, gas or telecommunications networks.
