Version 3.3: the Performance and Generic Function release

12 October 2009

Basix™ version 3.3 includes a number of performance optimisations targeted at customer databases containing large numbers of forms and large data sets.  This has been achieved through selective data loading and smart caching of data.

This release also introduces Generic Functions, providing a quantum leap in the business processing that can be configured by consultants and administrators.  For example, a single workflow action like "Create New Tenancy Agreement" can automatically clone the agreement and tenant links, change values on the new agreement, prompt the user for information and jump to the new agreement.

EMS would like to announce the first release of Web Input Forms for Basix™.  Created through the document generator and deployed to a corporate web site, users can fill out and submit these forms online, which are then automatically validated and loaded directly into your Basix™ database.  The data is fully encrypted and immune to hacking attempts, allowing Basix™ to be securely extended beyond your corporate network, and giving your customers the ability provide you directly with the information you need, reducing workloads in the office.

User interface enhancements include grid KPI fields, and a new Excel view that is bound directly to your Basix™ data.  A new Quick Search capability has also been added to all pop-up grids, reducing data entry times significantly.
